Simplifying and making the booking process more intuitive
Picniq are a ticket reseller for many UK attractions as well as Disneyland® Paris. Typically, booking a Disney holiday can be tricky, with a wide range of packages, deals, accommodation and dining options. As a Disney partner, Picniq wanted to make the booking process easier for first-time and returning customers. Any new approach would need to streamline the process and ensure the user was well informed on a huge variety of options. The new design also had to be compatible with the data structure of Disney's complex booking and pricing engine.
We produced a number of concepts and designs that challenged the current process in a way that could really simplify the booking decision process. We designed a way to narrow down options quickly by character association and define the type of holiday experience that was desired by the user. This method quickly separated and filtered the results. For example, ‘Book like Huey, Dewey, and Louie’ (large groups), ‘Book like Buzz Lightyear (have the fastest routes to the fastest rides), ‘Stay like Elsa’ (Princess Luxury).
